My law practice is devoted to helping people and businesses with a variety of issues pertaining to land use law, land use planning, land use litigation, real estate development, planning and zoning, tax increment financing(TIF), economic development incentives, historic preservation, variances, conditional use permits, code enforcement issues, text amendments, and administrative appeals.
Additionally, I have an active civil litigation practice which primarily focuses on business and personal injury litigation.
zoning cases and litigation — For the past 20 years I have had the privilege of representing clients in many multi million dollar land use applications. Many of these cases have been quite controversial. but I have been successful in the vast majority of cases. I have also tried 31 cases to a jury with only one loss. As with all cases however, it is about being prepared to represent the client's best interest. I am always prepared. I very much enjoy the practice of law. When it comes to choosing an attorney it is important to excercise a certain amount of due diligence before making a selection. Accordingly, I recommend that any person seeking an attorney examine the prospective attorney's experience, evaluate their qualifications and ask other people in the community about a given lawyer's reputation. Finally, of course, it is always important to interview the prospective lawyer before you make your decision. I welcome such due diligence inquiries and interviews. The initial consultation is always at no charge.
