Brian Padgett has devoted his legal
career to defending private landowners who have their land taken against their
will by government agencies through the power of eminent domain. His work has helped secure many of Nevada’s
largest eminent domain awards for clients.
In the last six
years alone, Mr. Padgett has represented more landowners in condemnation matters
than other Nevada attorneys practicing in the field and, during that time, he
has helped clients recover more than $80 million dollars in compensation.
Mr. Padgett graduated from Seton
Hall University School of Law and served as editor-in-chief of his law journal
– one of the highest honors of merit for a law student. After graduating from
law school, he clerked in the Eighth Judicial District Court in Nevada where he
was schooled in all phases of courtroom practice by the longest-tenured judge
on the bench. He then joined the law office of Kermitt L. Waters, crafting his
skills in the field of eminent domain.
Mr. Padgett formed The Law Offices of Brian C.
Padgett in 2007 in order to add new practices and procedures to the defense of
landowner rights and property values.
A long time resident of Las Vegas, Brian
Padgett is a cancer survivor and an active supporter of childhood cancer
foundations, the Fred Hutchinson Clinic and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society
