Archie Rabinowitz is a member of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution group of Dentons’ Toronto office. His practice focuses on estates and trusts law.
Archie draws upon a breadth of trial and appellate experience in fiduciary litigation to represent trust companies, government agencies and individuals in matters involving contested passing of accounts, the validity of wills, estate claims, breach of trust actions, undue influence claims, interpretation of wills, and the appointment or removal of trustees or guardians. He also deals with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) in matters involving voluntary disclosures under the Income Tax Act and rectification/repairs to defective wills and trusts. He is preferred counsel for LawPro for professional negligence cases arising out of estates matters.
Archie frequently speaks and publishes on estates and trusts law and since 2008, has co-chaired the prestigious Law Society’s Annual Summit on Trusts and Estates. Archie is the recipient of the 2014 Ontario Bar Association’s Award of Excellence in Trusts and Estates, and in 2008, Archie received the Ontario Bar Association’s Widdifield Award. He is recognized by leading directories including Best Lawyers in Canada and The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory.
