Antonio is Senior Counsel of our International Property Practice Group, based in Madrid.
Antonio has conducted numerous litigation matters, including proceedings for patents, designs, trademarks, honour and image rights, copyright and unfair competition. His vast experience includes proceedings before the High Courts of Justice and appeals before the Supreme Court against the granting or refusal of trademarks, commercial names and industrial and utility models, as well as before the Criminal Courts and the General Customs Service regarding the application of the Community Regulation (EC) 1383/2003 against products infringing intellectual rights, advising well-known Spanish and foreign companies.
Antonio regularly lectures on the intellectual property masters degree course at the University Pontificia of Comillas (ICADE) in Madrid, the Carolina Foundation and the Madrid Bar Association and the Francisco de Vitoria University, European University of Madrid or the Center of Economic and Commercial Studies. Moreover, he lectures Patent Law at the IP LL.M program Master en Propiedad Industrial e Intelectual de la Universidad de Alicante (Magister Lvcentinvs). He also participated as a Moderator at the table topic "U.S Trademark Basics for Non-U.S. Practitioners" during the INTA Annual Meeting in Berlin (Germany) in 2008. He has authored numerous articles on IP matters and is co-author of the first Handbook published in Spain on Industrial and Intellectual Property (by Francis Lefebvre 2012-2013).
He holds a Degree in Law and Business Management obtained from the University "San Pablo-CEU" of Madrid. Prior to joining us in 2010, Antonio was working at the Intellectual Property Department of Gómez-Acebo & Pombo where he participated in several landmarks cases in the field of Patent and Trademark law. He also worked at Dorsey & Whitney LLP (U.S.A) as a Foreign Lawyer in the Patents Department.
