Andre heads the Advertising and Marketing law group in Gowlings' Montreal office. He has been practising in the field of advertising law for over 18 years. Andre reviews and pre-approves advertisements for print media, radio, television and the Internet and also advises national and international corporations with respect to their obligations in terms of advertising and marketing in Quebec. More particularly, Andre is frequently called upon to provide guidance on obligations of advertisers and manufacturers under the Quebec Consumer Protection Act and the Charter of the French language. Andre also has litigation experience and has represented advertisers and manufacturers in civil and penal actions related to advertising and marketing issues. He is a frequent speaker and writer on Quebec advertising law issues. Andre has taught law at McGill University for MBA and continuing education student as well as at the Quebec Bar admission program.
