Allen Webster is a member of the Trusts + Estates and Business Services + Taxation teams. Allen devotes a substantial portion of his practice to sophisticated estate planning, including planning with the use of revocable and irrevocable trusts and partnerships. His corporate and commercial law practice focuses on tax matters, including mergers and acquisitions and the sale of businesses. As a licensed certified public accountant, he also advises individual clients on a broad range of tax related matters, represents clients before the Internal Revenue Service and the Tax Court.
Allen has practiced law in Burlington since 1976. Prior to law school, he worked for the international accounting firm of PriceWaterhouse and served two years as a Lieutenant in the United States Army. He served as an officer of the American Association of Attorney Certified Public Accountants for five years and held the position of president in 2000. He has lectured extensively on estate planning and tax matters throughout the United States and Canada.
