He became a member of that firm in 2000. In 2009 Chris co-founded Coumanis & York with his fellow former Assistant District Attorney, David York. Chris focuses his trial practice in the areas of personal injury and wrongful death, white collar and criminal defense and employment litigation.
David York served as an Assistant District Attorney in both Mobile County, Alabama, and Douglas County, Georgia. Following his tenure in the Mobile County District Attorney’s Office, David entered private practice in Mobile by joining a prominent civil defense law firm. In 2001, he was appointed by President George W. Bush as the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Alabama. In 2006, he returned to the private practice of law in Baldwin County, Alabama. David concentrates his practice on white collar and criminal defense, family law, and whistleblower litigation.
Collectively, Coumanis and York have tried more than 150 jury trials in state and federal courts. The attorneys put their considerable experience to work to vigorously represent the interests of people and businesses injured, harmed, wrongfully charged or prosecuted, all along the Gulf Coast and in Mobile and Baldwin counties. In representing these interests, Coumanis & York, P.C. has both the passion and the experience you can count on.
