A.L. Dent III has practiced exclusively in the areas of Labor and Employment Law and Labor and Employment Law Litigation since 1973. I have represented and advised all sizes of employers from small "Mom and Pop" businesses to Fortune 500 Corporations in matters arising under Title VII, the ADEA, the ADA, Section 1981, Section 1983, the FLSA, ERISA, the NLRA, the Railway Labor Act and numerous other federal and state labor and employment laws. I have practiced before numerous federal and state agencies including the EEOC, the Department of Labor, the OFCCP, the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, the NLRA, OSHA, and the Texas Workforce Commission.
I have had significant experience in both jury and non-jury trials and injunction hearings in both federal and state court. In addition, I have represented clients in appeals of cases arising under a multitude of federal employment laws before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.
I have represented clients both locally and on a nation-wide basis. Likewise I have represented the U.S. operations of many multi-national corporations from around the world.
With over 40 years of experience, there simply aren't many, if any, types of labor and employment law puzzles which I can't solve efficiently, competently, and ethically.
For 34 years, I practiced with a large international firm working with and learning from some of the finest and most talented attorneys in the country. Since 2008, I have practiced as a solo practitioner plying the skills and knowledge I gained from my years at my prior firm. And, the change has totally rejuvenated me. I find myself excited about and eager to handle every new matter I take on. It's as if I were a brand new lawyer like I was back in 1973. If you elect to utilize my services, you will be quite satisfied with my attention to your matter as well as the results I will obtain for you.
