Attorney Bio
I am a Brandeis University and Harvard Law School Graduate. After law school, I did 3 years in the Peace Corps in Venezuela and then came westward from Boston in 1969. I have been in the same law firm for 41 years and my name has been on the door since 1984. I focus my practice on Construction Law and Civil Litigation (in the area of construction and real estate). For the last 14 years I have done an increasing amount of mediation and arbitration as a mediator and arbitrator. These proceedings have been mostly in Arizona and mostly related to construction, business disputes, and real estate. I have been active in City politics, many extra-curriculars, and Continuing Legal Education. I have taught 4 or 5 CLE courses a year and taught a new Construction Law Course at ASU Law School for several years. I was one of the co-founders of the Construction Law Section of the State Bar and was one of 2 editors of its Practice Manual (released in 2003). I am working on a second book (as an editor) in the Construction Law field called "Do It Right, or Pay the Price". It is about to be published. I am about to commence a year term as the Chairman of the Alternative Dispute Resolution section of the State Bar.
